About Jameson Bow Street
Visit the grounds of the historic Bow Street Distillery. Built in 1780 by the Stein family, a young Scotsman named John Jameson and his bride Margaret Stein moved to Dublin to get into the family whiskey business. John was so successful at managing the distillery that he eventually took over ownership. Under his leadership, it became one of the most respected distilleries in the world, at a time when Irish whiskey was booming.
