Whiskey Lore Featured Profile – Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 16, 2025

These terms apply to distilleries purchasing a featured profile or submitting content for inclusion on Whiskey-Lore.com. By submitting payment and/or materials, you agree to the terms outlined below. Whiskey Lore is a service of Travel Fuels Life, LLC, located at 302 Belgray Ct., Taylors, SC 29687.

1. Profile Creation

Eligibility

Featured profiles are available only to U.S.-based whiskey distilleries that:

  • Have a working still located on-site, and
  • Offer a public visitor experience (e.g., tasting room or tours).

Included with the $500 Featured Profile

  • A 600-word profile custom-written by Drew Hannush following a consultation and/or interview, plus additional research.
  • Placement in the “Featured Distilleries” section of your state page, with a “Featured” banner and a blue pin on the interactive map.
  • One Instagram welcome post tagging your distillery (posted when your profile goes live).
  • One mention on an episode of the Whiskey Lore podcast.
  • Optional: A 15-minute video interview posted to YouTube, Patreon, and your profile page (if completed before profile writing begins).

Process Overview

  1. Distillery requests a profile and receives an invoice.
  2. Full payment is made in advance via PayPal or credit card.
  3. Client schedules a consultation (and optional interview).
  4. Client submits up to 3 high-resolution, landscape-format photos (5:4 ratio preferred, with one exterior shot recommended).
  5. The profile is written and returned for factual review.
  6. Once approved, the profile is published. Instagram and podcast features follow on a first-come, first-served basis.

Timeline: Expect delivery within 2–3 weeks of consultation and photo submission. Clients will be notified of delays due to backlog.

Edits: Minor factual corrections may be submitted within 7 days of profile launch. Additional changes may be billed at $100/hour.

Renewal

Your profile remains featured for one year from its launch date. Renewal is $250 and includes all featured elements. An invoice will be sent 30 days before renewal. If payment is not received within 30 days, the profile remains live, but featured status will be removed.

Editorial Control

All profiles are written in the voice of Whiskey Lore and are not promotional marketing copy. You may reuse the text on your website or print materials, as long as it is unaltered and not presented in a derogatory context toward Whiskey Lore or Travel Fuels Life, LLC. We retain full editorial rights and may revise or remove profiles at our discretion.

2. Photo and Logo Submissions

Usage Rights

By submitting any media, you grant Travel Fuels Life, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display your materials on Whiskey-Lore.com, related pages, and promotional materials. You confirm that you own the rights or have secured permission from the copyright holder.

Photographer Credit

If attribution is required, please provide the photographer's name at the time of submission. We will make reasonable efforts to include credit as requested.

Removal Requests

To request removal of photos or your profile, email info@whiskey-lore.com. Please wait for written confirmation before assuming the request has been received and processed.

3. Payment and Cancellation

  • Initial Fee: $500 for a one-year featured listing.
  • Feature Renewal Fee: $250 annually, invoiced 30 days prior to renewal.
  • No Refunds: Cancellations are only accepted prior to the consultation. No refunds are issued once work has begun or for early termination.

4. Service Disclaimer

All services are provided “as-is,” without guarantee of performance. Whiskey Lore makes no assurances regarding website traffic, customer conversions, podcast listenership, or social media reach. Listing your distillery does not imply endorsement by Whiskey Lore.

5. Limitation of Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Travel Fuels Life, LLC, its owner, contractors, and affiliates from any claims related to submitted content, including copyright infringement or third-party disputes. In no event shall our liability exceed the amount you paid for services.

6. Content Standards

We reserve the right to reject or remove content that:

  • Is sexually explicit,
  • Promotes underage alcohol consumption, or
  • Encourages unsafe or abusive drinking behavior.

7. Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes must be brought exclusively in the courts of Greenville County, SC.

8. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time without notice. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
